Photos from Niseko, Japan

Matthew and I had a good time on our second snowboarding trip to Niseko, Japan with our friends Lindsay and Grant. Snowboarding, onsen (hot springs), Japanese food and sake - what's not to enjoy? :)

We even saw a red fox one night when we were walking to dinner. Unfortunately, it was too far away and too cold for me to take off my gloves to get a picture.

This year we went slightly later in the season, and had slightly iffy conditions at the beginning of the week, but midweek it started snowing again and didn't stop!

Photos from Japan

Our snowboarding trip to Japan was pretty awesome - heaps of snow, Japanese food and sake, onsen, and the people were very nice.

At the New Chitose Airport near Sapporo, there was a display celebrating cantaloupe (yubari melon) from Hokkaido. Here's Amanda and the melon-head bear from Hokkaido:

Snowboarding in Japan

Konnichiwa from Hokkaido, Japan! Today was day 4 of snowboarding in Niseko, and we're having a wonderful time. It's been snowing like crazy!

Here's a short video from outside our window today.
